Venous Disease & Insufficiency
Venous disease occurs when the veins in the legs have difficulty returning blood back to the heart. This can lead to blood pooling in the lower legs, causing swelling, heaviness, aching, skin discoloration, and sometimes wounds near the ankles.
Venous insufficiency often develops when the valves in the veins weaken or stop functioning properly. Treatment focuses on improving circulation and reducing symptoms to protect long-term leg health. This condition is often treated by venogram and venoplasty.
Symptoms
Leg swelling, heaviness or aching in the legs, skin discoloration or varicose veins.
How We Treat It
We measure vein function and treat with minimally invasive venoplasty. This can improve wound healing, reduce leg pain, and prevent infection while improving your mobility.
